Sylvio Martins
Sylvio Martins is a UCLA graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Film, Television, & Digital Media Studies. Following his graduation, he began working as a freelance writer and has been published in national food publications like The Infatuation & Eater. Other beats that he regularly enjoys covering include politics, social issues, and cultural trends that provide further context to society’s progression. As a first-generation American and son to Latin American immigrants, he is interested in venturing into filmmaking and documentaries to further capture the experiences of the Latinx community and other minority groups in America. He considers himself first and foremost a storyteller.
