ZACHARY DURKEE
Zachary Durkee graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA, where he majored in political science with a concentration in international relations. He currently serves as a Joseph Nye Jr. Intern at the Center for New American Security (CNAS) in the Indo-Pacific Security Program. He did two years of Model United Nations at his community college. At UCLA, he was involved with the Bruin Political Union and worked as a Staff Writer for the school’s foreign affairs magazine at the Burkle Center for International Relations. He’d like to dedicate his career to advancing U.S. national interests and security through working in international affairs. With this, he also hopes to make an impact on tackling transnational issues and contributing to helping the United States navigate a world that is quickly transforming in ways imperceivable to many. In Zachary’s free time, he enjoys trying new restaurants, picking up new books, and writing articles.
